To end our week of Bottle DIYs we decided to do an inside job! In order to keep the glass shine of the bottle we put paint and a little bit of water inside the bottle and shook it up until the entire inside of the bottle was black! Once we finished that we wanted to add some gold detailing to the outside so we hole punched some tape and used it as a stencil (see photo below). Voila a black vase with gold dotted trim! Go wild and use any colours to brighten up your decor!

It was craft day at MWDesigns! What better (and easy) way to jazz up your shelves…or in our case, Sweets Tables than to create your very
own painted, custom glass vase with your old glass bottles. How pretty would all your fresh flowers be in these beauties!?
The photos sort of speak for themselves no sense in writing a bunch instructions just get creative. Make shapes with tape,
write your favorite quote on the bottle with the glue gun, spray it metallic add some glitter go crazy the options are endless!!!!

Happy Fall everyone! Alas it’s time to put away all the beautiful summer colours and start focusing on the amazing colour palettes that fall brings us.
I’ve been swooning over deep purple with dark bronze (as you can see in the photo!).  Texture is a great thing that fall and winter bring us with all the cable knits, leathers and wools…the amazing thing about getting creative is that these textures don’t need to just appear on our clothing they can also be transfered to stationery! Here at MWDesigns we are working on some fabulous fall DIY’s that we will post as soon as they are perfected! Keep checking back….stay warm friends!

We are so excited to announce that Megan Wappel Designs will have a fabulous booth at the annual
(elegant and luxurious) Wedluxe Wedding show at the Fairmont Royal York hotel on January 6th 2013.
This wedding event is an absolute show stopper and must see! I got goosebumps last year when I walked in under an
archway of thousands of hanging roses (see photo below). This event showcases only the best of the best
in the industry and we cannot express how excited we are to be in the company of all these talented, creative individuals.

Did I mention they even have a mens lounge (photo below) for all those lovely fiancee’s and boyfriends us gals
made attend…that way we can browse at our own pace with no interruptions and run back and grab them when we need their input!!!
Football, sliders, beer what more could they ask for really?

Below you will also see that they had the prettiest Tea Room
to savor all the delicious treats and relax. There was
also a beauty room where you could enjoy free manis as well as a bunch of beauty products to add to the your Wedluxe tote!

Cannot wait to see what they bring to the table this year….I know
